Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc., an American ticket distribution and sales company, is based in Beverly Hills, California. It also has operations in many other countries. It merged with Live Nation Entertainment in 2010 to create Live Nation Entertainment.
Sometime our plans change due to an emergency or some other problem, and if you want to cancel, change, or reschedule your event, Ticketmaster offers cancellation, change, or rescheduling support.
Cancelled, postponed or rescheduled events
Sometimes events can be canceled, postponed or rescheduled at a later date or at a materially different time or moved to another venue.
Cancellation of an event
No action is necessary to get a refund. We will issue a full refund to the original payment method used at the time of purchase once funds have been received by the Event Organizer. Sometimes, the Event Organizer will offer you the chance to receive a credit or refund. If so, we’ll send you a notification outlining your options and the steps to submit a request to credit.
You have to charge your credit card to refund the buyer of the ticket if you sell tickets for the cancelled event via Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster.ca. If the sale is successful, your account will be credited with the tickets. Once funds have been received by the Event Organizer, you will receive a refund of your original purchase. This will be in the form of the original payment method. To receive your refund, you don’t need to do anything. You may be able to request a credit or refund from the Event Organizer in certain cases.
Your ticket(s), including any add-ons, upgrades, or parking, will still be valid if the event is canceled, moved, or rescheduled. The Event Organizer can approve refunds or give you the option of a refund or credit for the event. However, refunds and credit policies are decided on an individual event basis and subject to any limitations. We will notify you if the Event Organizer approves refunds or credits. You can also request a credit or refund. You can also keep your tickets to the postponed or rescheduled event.
If you have sold tickets for the postponed or rescheduled event through Ticketsmaster.com or Ticketmaster.ca (i.e., you resold tickets through one of these sites and were paid for them).
your tickets are returned to your account if the following conditions are met:
(1) The Event Organizer has authorized refunds, or (2) The buyer requests a refund. If this happens, your credit card will automatically be charged to refund the ticket buyer. If the refund is granted, your credit card will be charged to your account. You may also have the option of asking for a credit or a refund, keeping your tickets for the event or reposting your tickets. The Event Organizer will determine any credit or refund policies on an event-by–event basis and there may be limitations.
We will contact you if your event is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled. If you are unable to contact us, we will inform you about any refunds, credit, exchange procedures, and update you on the current status. You can find detailed instructions for any particular canceled or postponed, revised, rescheduled or moved event in the event information section online or in your account.
We are not responsible for any travel expenses or other expenses you or others incur as a result of a canceled or postponed, revised, rescheduled or moved event.
Special note about tickets purchased from
TicketExchangebyTicketmaster.com: As we are not able to recover our costs on the tickets that we acquired for you, we are unable to offer customers refunds on postponed, rescheduled, or moved events with limited exceptions, the Event Organizer will determine which events are eligible for this grant.
A special note regarding tickets for Major League Baseball games or the US Open:
Refunds, credits and/or exchange policies for MLB and US Open games are subject to the Event Organizer’s policies. They are determined event-by-event.
A special note regarding hard stock and third-party ticket resale:
If your tickets were shipped via expedited delivery to you, you must return them to us (at below address) before we can process any refund. It is best to send your tickets by certified mail, or another carrier that can provide proof of delivery. We will reroute the tickets to the seller once we have received them. Send your printed tickets to the following address:

Refunds, credits, and exchanges
All sales are final. Refunds are not allowed except in very limited circumstances.
Be sure to carefully consider your event and seat selection before purchasing tickets. The Event Organizers have established policies that prohibit us from issuing refunds or exchanges once tickets are purchased. We also cannot issue refunds for tickets that have been lost, stolen or damaged. If tickets are stolen, lost, damaged, or stolen, they cannot be replaced.
Refunds:
Once funds have been received by the Event Organizer for your event, we will issue a full refund of the ticket price (or for a discounted price, the price paid), all service fees and any add-ons, such as parking. No refunds will be given for expedited shipping costs, merchandise purchased, Fan Club membership fees or other amounts.
Only the original method of payment used at the time you purchased the item will be eligible for a refund. A refund cannot be issued to another credit card or debit card. This includes self-service refund requests. If your debit or credit card number has been changed but it is still for the same account (e.g., a new card issued for the account), then the refund will be processed to the account.
Contact the insurance provider for any ticket insurance refunds.
It is important to note that seating maps represent the layout of a venue. However, refunds are not permitted if the seating chart is updated, or rows/seats are added. Seating may also change due to venue changes after purchase.
Sometimes we may offer tickets at a discounted price after the original sale date. However, the difference between the original and sale prices will not be refunded. There are no returns, refunds or exchanges for digital downloads and hotel/festival packages.
Ticketmaster reserves all rights to withhold any refunds from accounts that still owe it money until the balances are cleared.
Credits:
An Event Organizer might offer the opportunity to request a credit for cancelled, postponed or rescheduled events. If so, we will notify you and allow you to submit a request for credit. The Event Organizer provides credit and not Ticketmaster. Credits can be used to purchase eligible event tickets or ancillary items (such as parking) at the same venue, or at a number of venues, within the timeframe set by the Event Organizer. Credits are not available for third-party tickets, resale tickets, gift cards, or ticket insurance. The Event Organizer will decide which future events, venues, or ancillary purchases are eligible. Also, the credit amount (including any promotional amount) will be determined. The credit amount will always be at least 100% of the original price, plus any fees or taxes. The credit amount will not include any add-ons, upgrades or additional costs (such as parking). These will be refunded to the original payment method used at purchase. After you request credit and we verify that your order is eligible, we will send you a credit number which you can use to make eligible purchases. We also provide instructions on how to redeem the credit. Credits have an expiration date and must be used by that date. You will find the expiration date of your credit in the email you received along with your credit code. The expiration date can also be found under “Gift Cards and Codes” in your online account.
Credits can’t be sold, transferred or redeemed for cash. They are also not combinable with any other promotions. Credits cannot be applied to orders placed previously and they may not be used to purchase tickets for the same events as those purchased in the original transaction for which you accepted credit.
You must note that if an Event Organizer gives you a choice between a refund or a credit, it is not possible to get a partial refund. Any selection (e.g., refund or credit) you make will be applied to your entire order and cannot be split between credit and refund. All requests for credit or refunds are final.
You can find more information about refunds and credits for events that were cancelled, postponed or rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Terms Concerning Certain Canceled Rescheduled and Postponed Events (COVID-19)..
Tickets Exchanges
We may exchange tickets for tickets of equal or greater price for many events. A per ticket exchange fee may apply. There may be a per-ticket exchange fee.
Merchandise. No refunds, exchanges or credits will be given for merchandise purchased.
Refund prohibitions and chargebacks You will not contact us to request a refund or exchange if we are not permitted to do so by the Event Organizer. Additionally, you will not dispute the chargeback from the company whose payment method or credit card you used to purchase tickets on the Site. If you do this, your tickets will be cancelled immediately. We may also refuse to honor future or pending ticket purchases made from credit cards accounts or online accounts that have had such chargebacks.
Special note about resale tickets purchased from TicketExchangebyTicketmaster.com: except for canceled events (as explained in Canceled, Postponed, Rescheduled and Moved Events, above), there are no refunds, exchanges, or cancelations once a request is submitted to us. This policy is in place because, when you place your ticket request on TicketExchangebyTicketmaster.com, we attempt to secure and acquire those tickets for you from a ticket seller and are not able to recover our costs. We want to be clear. If we have sent you an Order Confirmation email regarding your Ticket Exchange purchase, it means that we have already committed ourselves to purchasing and securing the tickets you requested. Only order tickets if you are sure, you want them.
