The New York Times

The New York Times Company is publicly traded and has been managed by the Sulzberger family through a dual class share arrangement since 1896. The fifth generation of the family that heads the paper is A. G. Sulzberger who also serves as the publisher.

The New York Times’ layout and organization has changed significantly since the mid-1970s. Special weekly sections have been added to supplement the regular news, editorials and sports. Sunday Review (formerly The Week in Review), The New York Times Book Review and the New York Times Magazine are all added to the Times. T: The New York Times Style Magazine is also available. The New York Times editorial pages are often liberal in their views.
