Verizon Return and Exchange Policy

Wireless accessories can be exchanged or returned within 30 calendar days of purchase. Restocking fees of $50 apply to all returns or exchanges of wireless devices, except Hawaii. If your device was purchased from a non-Verizon owned retail location (authorized reseller), please review their return policy to determine if they will accept returns.

Only one exchange is permitted. For an exchange, you must return the merchandise in the original package. All merchandise must not be damaged or worn and should include the original receipt. Verizon may charge shipping fees if you wish to exchange the merchandise.

To avoid being assessed an Early Termination Charge, devices must return within the specified period. You can review your service summary and the Customer Agreement to determine whether an Early Termination Charge may apply.

No refund will be given if merchandise is returned after the return deadline, even if the merchandise was returned in error. If you have received promotional value for trading a device, or immediate savings towards the purchase price of a new phone at the time of the trade, you agree that these values will be charged to you if you don’t keep active service on the new device for three billing cycle. Verizon will also return any promotional Trade in value that you send back or exchange for another device.

We reserve the right not to accept returns or charge any fees for lost items, damaged items, or items that require service. If you send your merchandise back within the allowed return period, we will return your purchase price less a 10% restocking charge. If you return a wireless product without a unique product code (UPC), the amount of the refund will decrease by the amount received via mail. Refunds will be made by check, gift card, cash, credit cards, or check for any purchase. Refunds can be applied towards your wireless account for any returned purchase.

If you purchase merchandise under a “Buy One and Get One Free” offer and then return one item, your promotional deal will be cancelled. Additionally, a charge will be added on to your next billing cycle for any promotional benefits. BOGO offers allow you to exchange your device for the exact same make and model. Additional information can be found in the terms & conditions of the promotion.

Verizon will charge you a service fee if they have to remove the installed equipment from a vehicle, fixed location or vehicle in order for it to be returned or exchanged.

Opened software may not be returned if it isn’t in its original form.

Any accessory or wireless device with data stored on it must be returned or exchanged. Please copy all data you want to save to another file source. Data cannot be recovered after the accessory or wireless device is returned.

To help protect sensitive information such mobile banking data, you must also retain or destroy removable or portable memories cards or modules (such SIM Card or SD Card).

Verizon won’t allow non-GPS wireless devices to be activated as Verizon requires them to have GPS capability. This is because the FCC has made it a requirement for almost all wireless phones on a carrier’s network. Verizon will not accept a non-GPS enabled wireless device that you have upgraded to a GPS-capable device, and it must be returned within the time limit. We will however allow you to exchange your new GPS capable wireless device with another compatible device, subject to a restocking fee.

If you purchased your merchandise online, or by phone please refer to the return instructions. You could return your merchandise to any Verizon store if you purchased it in a Verizon location. See the Return Policy section at verizon.com to find out more. Returning your merchandise will not cause your service to be canceled. Customer Service is required to cancel the service.
