Groupon, an American e-commerce platform, connects subscribers with local merchants. It offers activities, travel, and goods in 13 countries. Groupon, which is based in Chicago, was launched in November 2008. Soon after, it was launched in New York City, Boston, and Toronto. Groupon had over 35 million users and was now available in 150 North American cities and 100 in Europe, Asia, and South America by October 2010. Groupon had more than 500 locations worldwide and nearly 48.1 million active customers. It also featured over 425,000 active deals in 48 countries.

If you have booked on groupon, but you need to cancel due to an emergency, groupon customer support can help you cancel and get a refund.

Cancellation of an Order

  1. Go to My Stuff on your mobile app or website. You can view and edit your voucher(s), your account details, preferences and check for refund eligibility.
  2. Select View details next the Groupon that you wish to cancel. Select the order from the app. You’ll be able to Cancel Order if your order qualifies for self-service.
  3. You can choose from the self-service options available, chat with us via the chat widget at bottom of page or select Email Me.

Note: If you don’t see Cancel order, your purchase may still be eligible to receive a refund. See our Refund policy.

Good to know:

You will need to cancel each Groupon separately if you have purchased multiple Groupons within the same order.

Refund Policy

Go to My Coupons to request a refund. Click on See Details to proceed with your order.

Orders for Final Sale cannot be cancelled or returned. To determine if your order qualifies for Final Sale, please refer to the Fine Print section of the deal page.

Local:

  • Up to 3 days after purchase, you can request a full refund on your original payment.
  • You can trade in any unredeemed Local Groupons that are not Final Sales for another Groupon deal by the expiration date of your voucher.

  • GrouponLive tickets are usually final sale unless stated otherwise in the Fine Print. If your order is not Final Sale, you may request a refund within 24hrs of purchase.
  • We will notify you as soon as possible if your event is rescheduled or cancelled. If we do, we will issue a refund.

Groupon – Book Your Dates:

  • Fine Print will always include the cancellation policy.
  • Your reservation cannot be cancelled if the deal is not refundable or has expired.
  • If you miss the cancellation deadline in the Fine Print, you can cancel the reservation by going to My Groupons. Choose the order that you want to cancel.
  • If your deal was marked as a Groupon Getaways Market Select and you wish to cancel it, please follow the steps below to reach out to our customer service team.

Bookings made through the Merchant:

  • Fine Print will always include the cancellation policy.
  • Unviewed vouchers can be cancelled by self-service on the day they are purchased.
  • After a reservation has been booked, you will need to cancel it with the business before contacting Groupon.
  • Groupon Booking guarantee: If the merchant is unable or unwilling to book the room you desire before the booked-by date, we will refund your purchase.

Note: In extreme cases, some properties might allow exceptions to the policy. Groupon can’t guarantee a refund, but we recommend you contact the merchant directly.
