Chrysler, one of America’s “Big Three” auto manufacturers, is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It is the American subsidiary to the multinational automotive company Stellantis. Stellantis North America, in addition to selling Chrysler vehicles, also sells Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles around the world. It also includes Mopar’s automotive parts and accessories division and SRT, the performance automobile division.

Chrysler

Walter Chrysler, a former employee of Maxwell Motor Company, founded the original Chrysler Corporation in 1925. Daimler-Benz acquired it and renamed it DaimlerChrysler in 1998. In 2007, Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Group LLC were operated by Daimler-Benz. The company was then acquired by Fiat S.p.A. in 2014 and became a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (“FCA”) after it was divested by Chrysler. Stellantis is Chrysler’s 2021 subsidiary. It was formed in 2021 from the merger of FCA and PSA Group (Peugeot Society Anonyme).
