ABOUT T- MOBILE

Some of Deutsche Telekom AG’s mobile communications subsidiaries in the Czech Republic (T-Mobile Czech Republic), Poland (T-Mobile Polska), the United States (T-Mobile US), and the former subsidiary in the Netherlands (T-Mobile Netherlands) use the brand name T-Mobile.

In addition to Austria (now Magenta), Croatia (now Hrvatski Telekom), Germany (now Deutsche Telekom), Hungary (now Magyar Telekom), Montenegro (now Crnogorski Telekom), North Macedonia (now Makedonski Telekom), Romania (now Telekom România), Slovakia (now Slovak Telekom), and the United Kingdom (now EE Limited), subsidiaries used the T-Mobile brand name prior to its introduction in 1996.

Radiotelephone systems owned and operated by the state postal monopoly Deutsche Bundespost were Germany’s first mobile communications services. In 1985, it launched Germany’s first genuine mobile phone network, the analog first-generation C-Netz (also known as C Network and marketed as C-Tel).
