Before you book
Cancellation details can be found on the listing page and during the booking process, before you pay.
After you book
You can find your Trips policy and cancellation options. Click or tap Show Trip Details to find your Cancellation Policy. We display cancellation policies based on the local time zone. The cancellation deadlines for refunds are calculated from the time that the listing was checked in within its local time zone or at 3:00 PM if there is no check-in.
To find out what the refund amount will be, cancel your reservation. We’ll give you a breakdown. You may be eligible for a partial refund depending on how long you stay and when you cancel.

Cancellation of a reservation
You have to cancel because your plans have changed. It’s not a problem. No problem. You can visit your Trips office to cancel or modify your reservation.
To cancel a reservation:
Desktop:
- Click Trips to select the trip that you wish to cancel.
- Click View more trip plans then click See details.
- Click Cancel or Change
- Click Cancel reservation.
iOS app:
- Select Trips to select the trip that you wish to cancel.
- Tap View more trip plans then tap See details.
- Tap Cancel reservation.
Android app:
- Select Trips to select the trip that you wish to cancel.
- Tap View more trip plans then tap See details.
- Tap Cancel reservation.
Mobile browser:
- Click Trips to select the trip that you wish to cancel.
- Tap View more trip plans then tap See details.
- Tap Cancel or Change
Cancellation refunds
Now you’re not ready to go. Learn how to cancel your Stay or Experience. Please note that the cancellation policy of the host may affect your refund.
The following factors could affect your refund amount:
- Cleaning Fees: All fees are refunded if cancelled before check-in.
- Airbnb service fee: You will be refunded your fees if you cancel within the cancellation period.
- Property fees collected on-site by a hotel or professional Host: Any refund of property fees collected on-site by a hotel/professional Host is at the Host’s discretion.

Refund request
Our Resolution Centre can handle refund requests for any amount.
Before submitting a request to the Resolution Center, we recommend that you discuss any refund amounts with your host via your Airbnb message forum. If you and your host are unable to reach an agreement, you can ask Airbnb for assistance in finding a solution. To be eligible for our Rebooking or Refund Policy, issues must be reported to Airbnb within 72 hours.
You can submit a Resolution Center request up to 60 days from the date of your reservation’s check-in date.
We’ll assist you in contacting your host to resolve any issues during your stay. You must submit your request within 24 hours of becoming aware of the travel problem. Your host will respond within one hour. You can ask Airbnb for assistance if they don’t reply or decline to respond.
