Exchanges and Returns

Cricket Wireless Return Policy

For qualifying devices, Cricket offers a 7-day return policy. See details below. You may be eligible to claim a warranty if your order was received more than seven days ago. For more information, please visit our warranty page.

Online purchases can be returned online via our Return Portal, or by contacting Customer Service. To return items purchased in-store, please visit a Cricket Authorized Retail Store.

Devices

  • Online: Online purchases of SIM kits and devices must be returned within seven (7) days after delivery. You must return the device or SIM kit by mail using the pre-paid label that Cricket has emailed you. Cricket must receive it within forty-five (45), days.
    • All devices must comply with the following return requirements. All devices that fail to meet these requirements will be returned with an explanation.
    • Online orders are not eligible for exchange by Cricket.
    • Online orders cannot be returned.
  • In Store: Reconditioned or new qualifying wireless devices purchased at a Cricket Store can only be exchanged or returned to the original store within seven (7) days. If the purchase date was February 1, then the last day for acceptable returns is February 8.

Accessory

  • Online: Any unopened accessory purchased online can be returned within seven days after delivery. You must return the accessory by mail using the pre-paid label that Cricket has emailed you. Cricket must receive it within forty-five (45), days. It cannot be returned in-store. The Cricket cannot return any accessory that has been opened.
  • In Store: Accessories bought from a Cricket Store are covered by the Return Policy of that Authorized Retailer.

Service payments

  • Online: Payments made online for Cricket Wireless services can be refunded only if the device purchased was not activated. You must return the SIM and device following the return instructions below.
  • In-Store: Payments made in-store for Cricket Wireless services cannot be refunded.

Fees

  • Online: There are no fees for returning compliant devices that you have purchased online at cricketwireless.com.

In Store A $25 fee may be charged if a device purchased from a Cricket Store has to be returned without any of its original components. If the original components are missing, the device may be returned without the battery, charger transformer or battery door.

Online Refunds

A refund will be issued within 10 days of receipt of the original payment method if your return is approved. Customers who do not comply with the return requirements will receive a refund along with an explanation. Cricket does not offer refunds on returns that are rejected.

Device Return Requirements

  • To be eligible for a return of the purchase price, or an exchange for another device, the returned device must be in a like-new condition. You must return all original components including the battery, charger, accessories and documents.
  • Cricket suggests that you delete any personal, confidential or proprietary information prior to returning your device. Cricket cannot be held responsible for personal information contained in returned or exchanged devices. Cricket recommends that all data, including personal contact information and pictures, be transferred to another source before exchanging or returning any device. After the device is returned, or exchanged, data in its memory can’t be recovered.
  • Cricket recommends that iPhone owners return an iPhone with Find My iPhone enabled. Your return of an iPhone that has Find My iPhone enabled will not be accepted. Your device will be returned.

Exclusions

These purchases cannot be returned or exchanged as per our Return Policy.

  • Devices that were received as part of an insurance claim.
  • Devices that are not branded or approved by non-Cricket.
  • Items in closeout

Important Things to Remember

  • Any rebates associated with the device will be void if it is returned.
  • Any promotional gifts that are associated with the device must be returned or forfeited.

You must submit your return request online within seven days of receiving your order. You may be eligible to submit a warranty claim if your order was received more than 7 business days ago.

When you return your item(s), we will send you a prepaid label.

  1. We will inspect your equipment.

Refund eligibility will be determined by the inspection.

We will email you to notify you if your refund has been approved and credit your original method of payment.
