We have eliminated change fees for Main and First-Class fares, making travel easier.
Here are some things to remember if you have to cancel or change your travel plans.
- There are no change fees, but you may be charged a surcharge for any additional flights.
- To receive future travel credit, you must cancel or change your reservation prior to your flight departure.
- Confirmed changes within the same day can be made during check-in. There will be a $25-50 fee, but there is no charge for any difference in fare.
- It is impossible to change saver fares.
- Our 24-hour cancellation policy allows you to cancel saver fares that were purchased after May 1, 2021.
- For future travel credit, saver fares that are purchased after April 30, 2021, may be cancelled under our peace-of-mind waiver.

How to Change Your Flight
Fares that are less expensive
Changes are not possible for saver fares.
You may be eligible to cancel your saver fares under our 24-hour cancellation rule or our guarantee of peace of mind.
Main- or First-Class fare
- Search for your reservation and enter your last name.
- Choose the flight that you want to change.
- Select a new flight. The right sidebar will display any credit or fare difference.
- Continue on to checkout to complete the change(s).
Once the change has been made, we’ll send an email confirmation.
Companion fares
- Search for your reservation and enter your last name.
- Choose “make changes to the trip” to get your companion discount.
- Choose your flights.
- Select New Flights. Any credit or fare difference will be shown on the right.
- Continue on to checkout to complete the change(s).
Bookings for partner awards
Many partner awards that were booked after May 1, 2021, can be modified online without a fee.
For partner award bookings through April 30, 2021, you can get peace of mind by calling reservations at 1-800-252-7522.
Group bookings
Call our group desk at 1-800-445-44435 to make changes to a group booking.

How to cancel your flight
You can save up to 30% on Main and First-Class fares if you order by April 30, 2021:
Step 1 – Enter your confirmation number, last name, and reservation to view your reservation.
Step 2 – Select Cancel.
Step 3 – Choose whether you would prefer to receive future travel credit via email, or directly into your account wallet.
Once the cancellation has been completed, we’ll send an email confirmation.
Buy on or after May 1, 2021, to get a discount on your airfare:
Our 24-hour cancellation policy is only applicable to saver fares that were purchased after May 1, 2021. Aside from that, no modifications are allowed.
Step 1 – Enter your confirmation number, last name, and reservation to view your reservation.
Step 2 – Select Cancel.
Step 3 – The ticket value will be refunded in the original payment method.
Once the cancellation has been completed, we’ll send an email confirmation.
Bookings for partner awards
Online cancellations are possible for partner award bookings made after May 1, 2021.
For partner award bookings through April 30, chat, chat or phone reservations are eligible for the peace-of-mind waiver.
Group reservations

Cancellation policy within 24 hours
You can cancel your flight within 24 hours. Or you can make a change to your itinerary* within 24 hours. There are no cancellation fees.
Planning a trip can be difficult. There are always unexpected obstacles that may arise. Our 24-hour cancellation policy allows you to cancel your trip, regardless of the unexpected events that life may throw at you.
What is the secret to it?

Here’s how to tell if your plans change within 24 hours of your ticket purchase.
- We will reimburse** the cost of any unused tickets if you have to cancel your flight.
- You can change your flight once and not pay any change fees.
Important notes:
- Tickets booked for travel beginning more than 24 hours after purchase are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. Tickets purchased within 24 hours of departure will be subject to our standard cancellation and change policy.
- Any fare increases or taxes applicable to your new itinerary will still be your responsibility.

* For Saver fares no changes are permitted, however, you can cancel your ticket and get a refund as described above.
** It may take up seven (7) days for refunds to be sent back to the original method of payment.
No-show policy
You can let us know if you feel you might miss your flight so we can credit your account with the value of your ticket for a future flight. You cannot change Saver fares*
We’ll apply our no-show policy on your entire reservation if you don’t cancel your flight ticket before it departs.
This is how it works:
- We will cancel your flight and cancel all future and return flights.
- You will not be able to use the money or Mileage Plan(tm), miles you have spent on non-refundable tickets as credit towards your next flight.
Savings on fares purchased between April 30 and May 1, 2021, may be eligible for future travel credit if cancelled under our peace-of-mind waiver. Only fares purchased after May 1st, 2021, can be cancelled under our 24-hour cancellation policies.
