How to cancel or edit your U-Haul reservation

Cancel My U-Haul Reservation

You can cancel your U-Haul trailer or truck reservation. U-Haul wants to serve more families, so we ask you to let us know if you need to cancel at the least 24 hours prior to your move date.

You have many options to cancel your U-Haul trailer or truck reservation. Logging into your U-Haul account is the best option. You can then view all your reservations and click the “upcoming reservation” link to see the order details page. Scroll down to the bottom of the order details page and click on the “Cancel My Reservation” button. Then you will be asked to confirm the reservation that you wish to cancel. You will be taken back to your order details page after clicking “confirm cancellation”. A message will inform you that your order was successfully cancelled. You can also contact us via Live Chat if you have any questions online.

U-Box(r) Reservations

To cancel your UBox(r), call 1-877 GO-UHAUL and a representative will assist you. U-Haul doesn’t charge cancellation fees for U-Box(r).

You can also modify your U-Box(r), delivery date, and add containers to your uhaul.com profile. You can modify your delivery date, add containers and increase Safe Stor Mobile (r) coverage. Call 1-877-GO UHAUL if you have any questions or need assistance with your order.

Self-Storage Reservations

Sign into your U-Haul account to edit or cancel your U-Haul self-storage reservation. Next, navigate to your upcoming storage reservation. To edit your storage reservation, modify the move-in date, remove or add stored property insurance or cancel it entirely, select Edit Reservation.

U-Haul-owned and managed locations will keep a self-storage booking until the day following your move-in date.

Moving Assistance(r) Reservations

Sign into your U-Haul customer account to cancel a Moving Help(r). Next, select the order that you wish to cancel. Click the “Manage my Moving Helper” option and then click the “cancel” button. Sign into your movinghelp.com customer account to cancel a reservation. To chat with an agent, use the Moving Assistance(r) contact page.

Unless you have chosen to place your funds on a certificate to transfer them to another mover, your funds should be available within five days of cancellation. All refunds are processed immediately after cancellation. If the funds are not available in a week, please contact your bank institution.
