Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C. is the flag carrier of Qatar. The headquarters of the airline are located in the Qatar Airways Tower, Doha. Qatar Airways cancellation and refund policy
Qatar Airways will offer a full refund if the fare conditions are met. A ticket’s refund validity is 12 months after the date of issue if it was fully used; 12 months from when the ticket was first uplifted if it was partially used.
Tickets beyond 12 months are not eligible for a refund:
- Local law / regulatory needs: If local regulations take precedence over Qatar Airways Ticket Refund Policies, local station finance can process refunds on such situations without further approval.
- Refund in the event of death: After valid documentation (Death certificate, copy, etc.) has been provided, legal heirs will receive a refund. Verified.
These ticket holders cannot apply for a refund:
- Tickets that can be used beyond the point for turnaround.
- Tickets that are not in sequence
Tickets that have not been used or are partially flown with non-refundable taxes.
Qatar Airways offers refunds:
Before departure
Full refund of tickets not used will be made after deductions for cancellation fees (if any) and taxes.
After departure
If fares allow for a refund after departure (e.g., a partially used ticket), the amount that is refunded will be equal to the difference in the fare paid and applicable fare for travel between points for which the ticket was used less cancellation fees.
Deduct the next available one way in the higher Reservation Booking Designator.
The base fare paid is non-refundable if the applicable one-way fare and cancellation fees exceeds the actual collected base fare. For such situations, all coupons not used and taxes on the flight, except surcharges, will be refunded.
How do I check my Qatar Airways refund status:
After receiving your request, Qatar Airways’ support team will process it. They will respond within five business days. An email confirmation will then be sent to you.
If you purchased your tickets using a credit card, the processing typically takes seven business days. Qatar Airways would take up to 20 days to issue a refund if you paid by cheque, cash, or any other form of payment.
Due to high volumes of requests during certain times, processing times can exceed 30 business days. The money may take up to several weeks to reach your bank account.
Qatar Airways Cancellation
According to Qatar Airways Flight Cancellation Policy, there is no penalty for cancelling your reservation within 24 hours of the departure of your flight. You can request a refund if your flight is delayed for more than 3 hours.
Cancel Qatar Airways Flight Booking Online:
- Click on “My Trips” and then click “cancel flight”.
- The Modify Flight option will be available if your ticket type is able to be cancelled online.
- Then you can choose new flights and make payments online
Get a refund from Qatar Airways:
- Visit the official website for qatar airlines.
- Click the Manage tab to log in to your account.
- Enter the booking reference number along with passengers’ last names.
- Continue to the next page and choose your Qatar Airways flight ticket.
- Fill out the Qatar Airways Refund Form by clicking on the “Refund” option.
Once you click the submit tab, your form will be submitted, and you will receive the confirmation mail.
