Flexible Cancellations Policy within 24 Hours

  • The ticket’s exact issue time is determined by the tickets’ timestamp.
  • This service is not available to tickets purchased less than seven days prior to flight departure.
  • The automatic 24-hour cancellation process will not apply to passengers who have already checked in for their flight.
  • You will not be able to cancel your reservation within 24 hours if the booking includes any additional paid services.
  • Only reservations booked through our website copa.com and Book and Hold payments via My Trips qualify for the flexible cancellation policy of 24 hours.
  • Book and Hold reservations made through our Contact Centers and City Ticket Offices are not eligible for the flexible cancellation policy of 24 hours.
  • Refunds will be made in the same currency and form as the original ticket.
  • Any request for flexible cancellations after 24 hours will be referred by an alternative process.
  • Refunds will be made up to 100% of the requested amount, including taxes.
  • Any special service, such as car rental or travel insurance, must be requested to be refunded directly to the vendor.
  • Mile’s reservations are not covered by our 24-hour Flexible Purchase Policy

Cancel Copa Flight Online

  • Visit Copa Airlines’ official website.
  • Log in using your credentials.
  • To continue, select the option MANAGE FIGHTS or MY RESTRICTIONS.
  • You will see a list of all the bookings that you have made when you select one of these options.
  • You can cancel the flight booking that you have already booked.
  • To complete the process, confirm the flight cancellation selection.
  • Do not forget to send a refund request while you are doing this.
  • Once your request has been accepted by Copa Airlines, you will receive a notification from the airline containing all details regarding cancellations at Copa Airlines.

Cancel Copa Flight Offline

You can cancel your flight tickets by phone or online if you are unable to cancel them. You can also call Copa Airlines customer service. You will be assigned an executive to answer your question. You will be asked to give them certain details, including your name, ticket number and reason for cancellation. After you have provided satisfactory answers, they will start the process for you. They will also submit the request for refund. You will be credited your money to the same account, as per Copa Airlines cancellation policy. Cancellation of a reservation can be done at the airport; you can cancel your flight at the airport counter.

Refund Policy

Copa Airlines will refund your tickets if you comply with these conditions:

  • Refunds on airline tickets are subjected to fare rules. If applicable, they will only be refunded in the country where they were sold.
    • If applicable, the refund will be processed using the same payment method as the original purchase.
    • Some taxes, fees, and airport charges may not be refundable depending on where you are located.
    • Refund processing may require additional fees.
  • Refunds may not be requested if the ticket is valid for at least one year from the date of purchase.
  • Non-refundable airline tickets are non-refundable and can be used for future travel as long as they remain valid (one year after issue).
    • The applicable change fees will be charged when you book a new trip.
    • The ticket credit cannot be transferred and can only use by the original passenger.
  • Returned airline tickets cannot be refunded.
  • Fare rules may allow for partial refunds of airline tickets. For more information, please refer to the fare regulations.
  • Refundable airline tickets for flights whose itineraries were affected by cancellations, flight delays or more than four hours are available. Some countries qualify for exceptions.
  • If the passenger dies, the refund will follow the applicable policy. You must present a copy of the death certificate for the ticket holder.
  • Some optional products or services, such as baggage and seats, are not refundable. They are subject to the terms of purchase.
  • If you have purchased services from Copa Airlines from third parties, suppliers or other companies (such as travel insurance or car rental), you must request a refund directly from the supplier.
