Going away: Put a vacation hold on the account. You can put a vacation hold on your account to temporarily halt your services until you return. You can keep your existing phone number, and you will be able to continue using CenturyLink email and leased equipment.

These are the steps to cancel your CenturyLink Subscription:

  1. Contact customer service at (877) 803-8414.
  2. Inform the agent that you wish to cancel your service.
  3. They will need your account number, name, and telephone number. This information can be found on your bill statement.
  4. Repay the balance.
  5. You can claim any deposit that you have made.
  6. Confirm cancellation.

  1. Simply open the My CenturyLink application or webpage.
  2. Register with your credentials.
  3. Go to My Home.
  4. You’ll only be able to see the “Disconnect Services” button if you are eligible.

Notes on cancelling service:

Here are some tips to remember when you cancel CenturyLink service.

Modem Return – To avoid a $200 equipment fee, CenturyLink modem/router leases must be returned within 30 Days of cancellation.
Bundled Services – If you cancel one of your services, it could affect your bundle discounts.

AutoPay – Learn how to cancel your AutoPay service and affect your automatic payments.

TV service – DIRECTV and DISH manage your satellite television subscriptions. You must contact them to cancel your service.

Deposit: If you made a deposit to set up CenturyLink, the deposit and any interest will be added to your final balance. We will send you a final bill via mail. It will show any credit or outstanding balances.

CenturyLink Return Policy

You are returning equipment to cancel or terminate service:

CenturyLink equipment must be returned within 30 days of termination of service. CenturyLink will not refund the cost of equipment if you do not return it by the due date. You will not receive credit for any charges if you return the equipment after 30 days.

CenturyLink will only issue a billing credit to you for the equipment you return if you have purchased it from them.

  1. a) Equipment is in good condition.
  2. b) Your service has been terminated within the first 30 days of your purchase. c) CenturyLink follows the CenturyLink Return Procedure. CenturyLink will receive the equipment returned within 30 days.

You should not comply with either (a), or (b), as you won’t receive credit for the equipment, and it will not be returned.

You can return equipment if it is damaged:

CenturyLink will not accept any equipment returned after you have received the replacement equipment. CenturyLink will charge you for the entire retail price of the equipment if you do not return the equipment within the 30-day period. You will not receive credit for any charges if you return the equipment after 30 days.

If your equipment has not been replaced, please contact us.

  1. a) CenturyLink Technical Support must be contacted at 1-855-331-1346 in order to confirm that the equipment is needed to be replaced.

How to return CenturyLink modem

To ensure that your package arrives in good condition and avoid unreturned modem fees, you must follow the packing instructions below.

Click the button to begin the return label process. Click “Continue as Guest” on the UPS website and follow the instructions for your return label.

You will also find some special notes if you are cancelling service, returning a faulty Modem or using a self-provided modem.

Important Note: If you cancel service or lease your CenturyLink modem (or if you order a replacement CenturyLink modem), you must return the modem within 30 calendar days to avoid any equipment charges up to $200.

Return label options

You will be able to choose from two options after you have entered your name and address at the CenturyLink returns website. Are you without a printer? It’s not a problem. You have options that do not require printing.

  • Download and print your return label. The label will be sent to you in a PDF format so that you can either print it immediately or later. You can also bring the email to UPS Store to have it printed for you.

Request a QR Code: This code will allow you to bring your boxed modem and digital code to a UPS Store. The clerk will scan the code, print the return label and then ship the package.

Instructions for packing and shipping

Follow these steps to make sure your package arrives safely.

  1. Include yourmodem/router, and any cords provided by CenturyLink.Include any wireless accessories you have received from CenturyLink.
  2. These items should be packed in a sturdy box with flaps intact.To ensure equipment stays put, cushioning material should be used.
  3. Use strong tape to seal the box for shipping.
  4. Remove or cover any shipping labels from the outside of the box.
  5. The printed label should be folded at the line. You can attach it to one side of the box using a clear shipping pouch or cover the entire label with clear shipping adhesive.

Drop the box at any authorized UPS Shipping Center near you.
