Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), the operating subsidiary, oversees all operations in Canada, Mexico and the United States of Toyota Motor Corporation. Its operations include research, development, manufacturing and sales. Sometimes, it is executed by subsidiaries or holding companies. The company’s headquarters is in Plano, Texas, and there are offices in many locations, including Georgetown, Kentucky, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

Toyota began operations in North America on October 31, 1957. Today’s Toyota Motor North America was formed in 2017. It was the result of the merger of three companies: Toyota Motor North America, Inc., who controlled Toyota’s corporate functions, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., which managed sales, marketing, and distribution in the United States, and Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, which oversees all operations at the region’s assembly plants. Although all three companies are still legally active, they now operate together from one headquarters campus.

Modifying or Cancel reservations

 View your current reservations If you’re a Toyota owner, open the Toyota App. Next, tap the “Find” option at the bottom of the navigation bar. Click on the Rentals Card.
Non-Toyota owners should first open the Toyota App. Then tap on the Rentals Card.
You will see your current and upcoming reservations under the Active Tab and the Upcoming Tab respectively. Tap the Past Tab to view past reservations. Modifying is possible to make an upcoming reservation, click on the appropriate reservation under the Upcoming Tab. Then tap the Edit button below the displayed Reservation Summary. Click on the pencil icon beside the items you wish to change, such as dealership, date, time, and vehicle.

  • To re-select Vehicle Details or Date/Time Details, tap the pencil icon beside them.
  • Based on dealer availability, you would need to choose new pickup/drop-off dates for your vehicle.
  • To modify the details of your driver (or another person’s), tap the pencil icon located next to the Driver Information Card.

NOTE: Same day rental modifications are dependent upon dealer availability.

  • You will be asked to select a new vehicle if you change the pick-up/drop off date or time. Vehicle availability is subject to change daily.
  • Modifying a reservation in Toyota App will not result in any additional charges.

To modify an existing reservation, please contact your dealership directly. Your Toyota app will reflect any changes made by the dealership to your current reservation. Your reservation will be changed, and your total charges updated to reflect any change in the cost of your reservation. All modifications are subject to availability. To cancel a reservation, Navigate to the Rentals Landing Page. Find the reservation you wish to cancel and then select it.

  • Tap ‘Cancel” at the bottom of the Reservation Summary page.
  • You will be asked to confirm your cancellation by clicking on the dialogue box.
  • Click the “Yes, Cancel” button.
    Cancelling a reservation through the Toyota App is free of charge, even if it’s less than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.

You can cancel or modify reservations at any time, without penalty or payment.

Notification: Dealerships will notify you by phone or email if they need to cancel your pickup time. In this case, you will be notified.

What can I do to arrange pick-up/drop off?

Drop-off and pick-up services are available on a per-dealer basis. The Toyota app will require that you have transport to the dealership in order to rent the Toyota rental car.

The dealership will be able to accommodate your request if you inform them of your situation before your arrival. Special pick-up instructions may be sent by email to you if offered.

Where can I pick up and drop off my Toyota rental car?

Dealers may have different operating hours. Based on dealer availability, the Toyota App will show you the available pick-up/drop-off times.
Please contact the dealership for special accommodations beyond our regular operating hours.

How can I return my Toyota rental car?

Return the vehicle to the dealer you rented it from.
You can find the dealership name on the Rentals Landing Page under your reservation (either in the Active Tab or the Upcoming Tab in your Toyota App). The complete address of the dealer will be displayed on the Reservation Summary Page after you click your current or upcoming reservation.
When you arrive, a Toyota customer service representative will assist you with the check-out process.
